Fontaine de Trevi
Tradition has it that if visitors throw a coin into the fountain, they will be assured a return to Rome, two coins will lead to a new romance and three will ensure a marriage. Nearly 3,000 Euros are thrown into the fountain daily and are collected at night. The money is used as charity to subsidize a supermarket for Rome's less fortunate.

l'escalier espagnol
The name Spanish Steps earned its name after the Spanish Embassy that was permanently located there in 1647, and it was later transformed into the Spanish Embassy to the Holy See.
Below the staircase is an early 1600’s Baroque fountain, “Fontanna della Barcaccio”, or “The Fountain of the Old Boat”, a type of shallow boat particularly used for carrying wine to the port of Ripetta.
At the top of the elegant 18th century winding stairway is the French church of Trinità dei Monti.

As you enter this bustling plaza, a symphony of sights and sounds envelops you. The air crackles with the joyful chatter of locals and the melodies of street musicians, their tunes floating through the open space like whispers of a forgotten era. Laughter and animated conversations fill the air, painting a vivid tapestry of Roman life. Your gaze is immediately drawn to the centerpiece of the piazza, the majestic Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi, the Fountain of the Four Rivers. Its sculpted figures, representing the great rivers of the world, stand proudly amidst cascading water, frozen in a moment of eternal motion. The sparkling spray catches the sunlight, casting a shimmering spell upon the entire square. Place Saint-Pierre
Enjoy a stroll through the spacious square that welcomes you with its enormous embracing colonnades. St Peter’s Square is located in front of St Peter’s Basilica. The vast elliptical square was designed by the famous Gian Lorenzo Bernini for the purpose of allowing the greatest number of spectators to see the Pope give his blessings. Surrounding the square like embracing arms are the classic 4-column deep Tuscan colonnades surmounted by 140 statues of saints. In the center of Saint Peter's Square is the 84-foot tall Egyptian obelisk dating back to 2500 BC in Heliopolis. The obelisk was brought to Rome by Emperor Caligula in 37 AD.

Basilique Saint-Paul-hors-les-Murs
Saint Paul Outside the Walls, Basilica Papale San Paolo Fuori le Mura in Italian, is one of the major basilicas in Rome, Italy. It is one of the four papal basilicas and is considered one of the most important Christian pilgrimage sites in the city. The basilica's majestic columns stand tall, reaching towards the heavens, as if offering a bridge between earth and divine realms. Carved reliefs, weathered by centuries, adorn the entrance, narrating tales of martyrdom and devotion, their intricate details a testament to the skilled hands of artisans long gone. Every corner of the basilica holds treasures to be discovered. Marble columns rise like sentinels, their smooth surfaces bearing witness to the touch of countless pilgrims who sought solace within these sacred walls. Portraits of popes, their wise and weathered visages, silently observe, reminding all of the unbroken bond between the papacy and the faithful. Mosaics, painstakingly crafted, depict scenes of celestial majesty.
