Temple of Horus

It is located in the city of Edfu in Upper Egypt on the west bank of the Nile River. Aswan High Dam
The High Dam is a massive dam in Egypt built south of Aswan with assistance from the Soviet Union. The High Dam stores an additional 8 billion cubic meters of water, which is used for land reclamation for agriculture and converting basin irrigation to perennial irrigation. Gamal Abdel Nasser laid the foundation stone of the dam on January 9, 1947.
