From Lynden, we head west to Berthusen Park with its towering old-growth forest of cedars, firs, and others.

Whatcom Falls Park
Whatcom Falls Park has many trails that wind through the forests overlooking the creek and still pools. A stone bridge greets visitors, just 100 yards from the parking area. It's the centerpiece for a wonderful experience as you start on a walk through the meadowed forests of the park.

Lynden
Our next stop is the charming Dutch-themed village of Lynden. The main street through the town boasts (among many others) two windmills, an art center, and The Pioneer Museum where you can learn about the Dutch settlers and native Nooksack tribe.

Peace Arch State Park
Peace Arch Park, and the Peace Arch International monument. But this is only half of the monument. The other half, of course, resides just across the border in its sister park, Peace Arch Provincial Park. As the name suggests, the monument is a symbol of the cooperation between both countries in keeping our border safe. It is the only arch erected in the interest of peace among nations, and many wedding and family celebrations take place here.

Semiahmoo Spit
Located on Semiahmoo Bay, golf courses, beaches, and Drayton Harbor are some of the sites to see. Stroll the sandy shoreline or watch the boat-watch Semiahmoo Marina.
