Located near the village of Andasibe, around 140 km east of Antananarivo, the Analamazaotra Special Reserve (also known as Périnet) is one of Madagascar’s most accessible and popular natural sites. This biodiversity hotspot is home to the indri, the largest of all lemurs, renowned for its powerful, haunting calls that echo through the forest. Other iconic species such as the diademed sifaka can also be seen here, along with a rich variety of birds, reptiles, and endemic plants.
