Your driver will pick you up at 7am from your Chongqing hotel to Chongqing North Train Station for Bullet Train to Chengdu that leaves at 08:02, after arrives at the Chengdu East Train Station, take the train to Songpan that leaves at 10:30 am, after 100 minutes you will arrive at Zhenjiangguan Station. Picked up by a local driver, takes about 1 hour drive to Songpan county, after check-in at hotel, take a break and then can visit Songpan Old Town and City Wall in the afternoon.
Songpan old town was once an important trading post on the Tea Horse Road (a historic trade route between China and Tibet). Founded during the Tang dynasty and rebuilt during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644), Songpan features massive stone gates and walls that protect the old town.
