South Rock Palace【南岩宫】，Taoism called the "holy land" which is the most beautiful place in the 36 rocks of Wudang Mountain. Rebuilted in the 11th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (1413 A.D.), there are150 large and small rooms palaces, Pavilions, etc. The Grand Saint Nanyan Palace was extended into 460 rooms in the 31st year of Jiajing (1552 A.D.) It is called Nanyan because it faces south. Its full name is South Rock Palace which is the most perfect combination of the human landscape and natural landscape of Wudang Mountain.
