After the visit to Pompeii ruins our driver will take you up mount Vesuvius for a light lunch with wine tasting. A guided walk through the vineyards on the slopes of Vesuvius. Visit the cellar with an explanation of the production methods of Lacryma Christi.
Tasting with lunch: Appetizer with typical products: salame, provolone cheese, Casatiello, salted ricotta, bread with oil and Vesuvian spices, raw ham from Campania, and bruschetta with wood-fired bread and piennolo tomatoes.
Wines: Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Bianco DOP, Rosato and Rosso.
First course: durum wheat spaghetti with piennolo cherry tomato sauce and basil served with Lacryma Christi Riserva (80% piedirosso and 20% Aglianico aged from 18 to 24 months in French oak barrels.
Dessert: Neapolitan pastiera (typical dessert prepared with ricotta, wheat and candied fruit), Capafresca Spumante Rosato (100% Aglianico) and Passito Bianco IGT.
