We will meet under the large palm tree in the cobblestone courtyard at 'Am I Coconuts' on Anna Maria Island. The easiest parking can be found across the street at Roser Church. Private hotel beach and pool performances are available upon request after booking.

The workshop will begin with a brief history of the instrument's cultural significance and the impact that the steel drum has had on arts and music. You will then be given a pair of drumsticks to use (which you will use to mimic me) as you learn to play the C Major scale. Once that is perfected, you will learn to play the song "Day-O". (I will also show you steel drum apps that can be downloaded for free which you can use to practice your new skills and continue to make beautiful, tropical steel drum music even when your vacation is over).
