On the occasion of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Picasso's death, it is an ideal visit to understand the legacy of Pablo Picasso, his work and his passionate and revolutionary character, which continues to generate so much interest today. Guernica is a painting painted in Paris between the months of May and June 1937, whose title alludes to the bombing of Guernica, which occurred on April 26, 1937, during the Spanish Civil War.
In 1981 the work finally reached Spain. It was first exhibited at the “Casón del Buen Retiro”, and since 1992 it can be seen at the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid, where it is on permanent display.
