From Florence to the Paper Museum it is partially a motorway road, until you get to Pescia town. Here, you will see Medieval streets which characterize its historical center. The town is divided by the Pescia River. On one bank lies the Cathedral, while the opposite bank hosts the modern city center. Time for a coffee in Pescia center, before you reach the Paper Museum.

Your driver will take you to a great site, out of touristy routes, the Museum of Paper in Pescia. It is a one hour drive from Florence. It is located inside a true ancient Paper mill, born with the aim of preserving and handing down the ancient art of working and making “handmade paper”. The
experience includes a visit to the restored industrial building and a narration of the history of the Magnani family. Then a paper making master will teach you how to create a paper sheet, which you will take home at the end of the laboratory.
