Folgefonna National Park
Travelers meet their guide at Tåkheim and begin the hike through lush forest before the landscape gradually becomes more alpine and rugged. Along the way, they enjoy spectacular mountain views, fresh Norwegian mountain streams, and a lunch break by a scenic mountain lake, where the guide serves lunch and coffee.
As the climb continues, the terrain becomes steeper and more demanding, with rocky sections and boulder fields leading up to Holmaskjær cabin. In the evening, travelers arrive at the spectacular glacier-side cabin, settle into their room, enjoy a warm dinner prepared by the guide, and take in the incredible views of Folgefonna glacier and the surrounding mountains.
