Itinerary
1
Marrakech
The quickest, closest, and hence one of the most popular day trips from Marrakech is a one-day trip from Marrakech to Ourika Valley.
From its humble beginnings in the Berber country, the river has trickled down the slopes of the Atlas Mountains, between the peak of Tlemcen and the plateau of Timeskar. The green landscapes of the valley, the lazy meandering torrent combined with the small Berber villages in red adobe clinging to the slopes will enchant you.
2
Ourika
At 9 am. You will take the Atlas road and cross superb landscapes between the immensity of green meadows and authentic Berber villages from the 16th and 17th centuries.
3
Ourika Valley
You can visit the village's local market every Monday and Friday: butchers and hairdressers, vegetables, cereals, olive oil sellers, blacksmiths, and wizards meet in tents and under shelters. Of reeds, with several small restaurants scattered in the open air.
15 minutes
4
Ourika Valley
Continue your way through the valley of palm trees following the Ourika, the local river. On the road, discover numerous fruit trees, tiny villages, the river bordered by a few restaurants, and the resort residences of a few lucky ones.
30 minutes
5
Setti-Fatma
go with your guide to visit the seven waterfalls in the village of Seti Fatima, two and a half hours of walking amid the foothills of the mountains and dense forests, as you can see some types of small monkeys and mountain goats.
1 hour and 30 minutes
6
Setti Fatma and the 7 Cascades
With this physical effort, it's lunchtime. Let's go to one of those primitive Berber restaurants to eat one of the most delicious food by the river, while your feet are on the water.
