Ine no Funaya
Ine is a coastal, renowned for its traditional fishing village scenery and unique architectural style known as "funaya." Ine, often called the "Venice of Kyoto,". The town's waterfront is lined with rows of these funaya, which are wooden houses built directly over the water on stilts. The upper floors of the funaya serve as living quarters for local fishermen and their families, while the ground level is used for boat storage and maintenance. Visitors to Ine can explore the charming streets lined with funaya, take a leisurely cruise on Ine Bay to admire the scenery from the water, and experience the maritime culture of this picturesque coastal town.
