Pisac
"The Pisac Archaeological Park, located on the slopes of the Apu Inti Huatana mountain, is situated in the town of the same name, 30 km from the city of Cusco in the province of Calca. Today, it is known as an astronomical observatory. Its imposing structures make it one of the most important Inca jewels inherited from the Inca Pachacutec. The town of Pisac sits at an altitude of 2,950 meters above sea level, while the archaeological sites are located at around 3,300 meters above sea level. According to historians, in the 16th century, Pisac was invaded by the Spaniards, causing the local inhabitants to flee."

Ollantaytambo
"The Ollantaytambo Archaeological Park was a fortified city built by the Inca Pachacutec. During the Spanish conquest, it served as a fortress for Manco Inca Yupanqui. This city was established as a military, religious, administrative, and agricultural complex built across two mountains in a strategic location that dominates the entire Sacred Valley. Furthermore, Ollantaytambo was an important tambo (an Inca inn or storage station), a city that housed massive food storehouses and astronomical observation sites."
