At this very spot, a bold decision was made to destroy large amounts of confiscated ivory instead of selling it, sending a clear message: ‘Elephants are worth more alive than dead.’ Each tusk once belonged to an elephant lost to poaching, and this act helped change global attitudes toward protecting wildlife.
