Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Begin your day with a 5:00 AM pickup from your hotel in Nairobi. Enjoy a scenic drive toward Nanyuki, where Mount Kenya often dominates the horizon. After a brief coffee or washroom stop, please arrive at the conservancy around 9:00 AM and begin your first game drive across its wildlife-rich plains, home to elephants, rhinos, lions, giraffes, and large herds of antelope.
Midmorning, visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya to see rescued chimps, before continuing your drive through the quieter eastern areas in search of rare species like Grevy’s zebras and oryx.
Enjoy lunch at Morani’s Restaurant, followed by a visit to the Endangered Species Boma to see the last two northern white rhinos and learn about the groundbreaking conservation work happening at Ol Pejeta. After the game drive, begin the return journey to Nairobi, arriving back in early evening after a full, memorable, and educational wildlife adventure.

Equator Marker
Make a brief stop at the Equator crossing point near Nanyuki as you travel between Nairobi and Ol Pejeta Conservancy. This unique stopover allows you to stand exactly on 0° latitude, with one foot in the Northern Hemisphere and the other in the Southern Hemisphere. Take photos beside the Equator marker and observe a short demonstration often performed by local guides explaining the change in water flow across the hemispheres. The stop typically lasts a few minutes and offers a memorable geographical experience before continuing to your wildlife adventure at Ol Pejeta Conservancy.
