My Son Sanctuary
If you are an avid lover of ancient history, then My Son Sanctuary is a must-see! Located in the upper area of the Thu Bon River, near Da Nang City and about 20 km west of Tra Kieu Citadel, My Son is a cluster of Hindu temples in Duy Phu Commune, Duy Xuyen District. Once a sacred site for the Cham people (known today as Cham), it was used for making sacrifices to the gods. Built between the 4th and 13th centuries A.D., this renowned architectural complex was dedicated to the god Shiva. Our guide will provide insights into Cham history and their Hindu worship practices. Additionally, you will have the chance to watch a traditional Cham dance performance. Recognized as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site in 1999, My Son is a fascinating destination.
