Itinerary
1
Sassoon Dock
One of the oldest harbours, Sassoon Dock, is the largest wholesale fish market in Mumbai as well. It is also one of the very few Mumbai docks open to the public.
Believed to be the native of Mumbai city, the Koli community has been a part of the Mumbai trading scene for a long time now. Several people going through a hard day of work dressed in the traditional Koli attire are some of the typical sights of the region.
Sassoon Dock is a hidden gem of Mumbai which has seen more history than any of us and gives a great chance at history knowledge too. Although not among the popular top-visits of the city, the dock is definitely an attraction, mainly for all seafood history buffs.

2
Dadar
Right outside the station, under the Dadar flyover flourishes the wholesale flower market, possibly the only one in Mumbai.
The tiny, narrow lane is lined with kiosks, stalls and even wooden planks with one thing in common, flowers and the sweet fragrance that awaits us.
Dadar Flower market is one of the must visit places in Mumbai, whether you are a local or a traveller. The best place to buy wholesale flowers

Banganga
Banganga is a large freshwater tank surrounded by ghats and used to immerse ashes in Mumbai. According to mythology, Lord Rama and his brother Lakshman took rest here while on their quest to search for Lord Rama’s wife, Sita. Rama asked his brother Lakshman to bring some water when he was thirsty. So Lakshman shot an arrow into the ground from where fresh water rose forth.
This fresh water is said to symbolize the Ganges River and hence the place gets the name Banganga, meaning Baan (Arrow) – Ganga (Ganges).
