Mtskheta
Your guide will meet you at your hotel or chosen pickup address in Tbilisi and we’ll begin our journey to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia — located just 40 minutes from Tbilisi.
Mtskheta is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Georgia, with a history of more than 2,600 years. As the former capital of the early Kingdom of Iberia, it holds immense historical and spiritual importance for the Georgian people.
Upon arrival, we’ll park near the entrance to the city and take a pleasant walk through the charming old streets of Mtskheta. Along the way, you’ll see cozy souvenir shops, traditional snack stands, and local wine-tasting spots, giving you a taste of authentic Georgian culture.
The highlight of our visit will be the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral — one of the most sacred places in Georgia. According to tradition, it is the resting place of the robe of Christ, making it a deeply spiritual and unforgettable stop on our tour.
