Hiking Time: 3–4 hours
Focus: After completing registration at Londorossi Gate, you begin your ascent through the lush, dense rainforest. You will spend your first night at Mti Mkubwa camp.

Focus: You emerge from the rainforest into the heath and moorland zone. The trail steepens as you cross the Shira Ridge, offering your first stunning vistas of Kibo peak across the plateau.

Focus: The day begins with the exhilarating climb up the Barranco Wall. Once over the top, the path continues with undulating terrain through the alpine desert, eventually dropping slightly into the Karanga Valley.

Hiking Time: 3–4 hours
Focus: You continue your ascent toward Barafu (Base) Camp. You will have a clear view of the two peaks, Mawenzi and Kibo, from this position. You’ll have an early dinner and try to get some rest before the summit attempt.
