Begin the journey towards Mount Etna while enjoying views of the Sicilian countryside. Direct pickup inside the port depends on the ship’s berth, arrival time and local access regulations.

Mount Etna – Rifugio Sapienza Area (2 hours 30 min) Reach the Rifugio Sapienza area, located about 2,000 metres above sea level. Enjoy approximately 1 hour 30 minutes of free time to see extinct craters, walk across old lava fields and admire the volcanic landscape. Afterwards, continue to the winery on the lower slopes of Mount Etna. Guests may choose to take the cable car or rent quad bikes instead of spending all their free time in the lower crater area. These optional activities are not included and depend on availability, weather and operating conditions.

Etna Winery Visit and Tasting (2 hours 30 min) Visit a local winery situated on the lower slopes of Mount Etna. Learn about the winery, the surrounding vineyards and the influence of the volcanic landscape on local production. Enjoy a guided tasting of several wines accompanied by a selection of traditional regional products. The winery visit and tasting are included in the tour price. Return to Catania Cruise Port – Drop-off (1 hour 15 min) After the tasting, travel back to Catania Cruise Port in your private vehicle. You will be dropped off at the authorised passenger area near your ship. The return time may be adjusted according to traffic conditions and the ship’s final boarding schedule.
