To begin, start your journey with a 1-mile paddle on Upper Trail Lake, framed by the rugged peaks of the Chugach Mountains.

Grant Lake Trail
Once you’ve taken in the serene beauty of the glacial waters of Trail Lake, you’ll swap your paddle for hiking boots and then follow a 1-mile primitive trail to the awe-inspiring shore of Grant Lake. Along the way, you'll hike a portion of the Iditarod National Historic Trail while keeping any eye out for wildlife, learning about native Alaska plants in the area and hearing stories of those who walked this path before you.

This remote lake is only accessible on foot or by floatplane and features incredible emerald waters that are as pristine as they are breathtaking.
