Cross the Pont Vieux, where the black and white pebbles, coming from the Tarn and the Garonne, lead you to the Villebourbon district. Once the water is under your feet, look up to the left: you will see a beautiful string of houses by the river. It’s the first image we keep when we arrive here.

Housed in the former palace of the Court of Aids, the Victor Brun Natural History Museum was founded in 1852, on the initiative of the members of the Society of Sciences. Through this cultural project, their first wish was to make their Private Collections available to the Montabanese.

The fact that Saint James Church is so well anchored in the historic centre of Montauban is due to the fact that it is the oldest monument in the city. Its construction, which dates back to the 13th century, makes it, like the Old Bridge, a vestige of the Middle Ages still used today.
