1
Parque Alfredo Salazar
This park is an excellent starting point for a stroll along the seawall, either north or south, enjoying the views, culture, and relaxed atmosphere.
Inaugurated in 1953 in honor of Air Ensign Alfredo Salazar Southwell, the park features a 3m-high pink travertine marble sculpture of a condor by sculptor Lajos D'Ebneth.
For decades, it hosted recitals, popular music (there was even a bandshell), and scenes in plays by Mario Vargas Llosa and Julio Ramón Ribeyro. Vargas Llosa evoked it this way:
"The beauty of the park... was its intimacy, its cleanliness, the intense green... small enclaves of solitude."
Nearby is the Larcomar Shopping Center, built in 1998 on the former site of Salazar Park. It has four floors, more than 114 stores, and an architecture that seems to float above the cliff.
It's especially beautiful at sunset, with panoramic views of the Pacific, perfect for photographs and memorable moments.

El Parque del Amor
Located atop the Malecón Cisneros cliff, with a privileged view of the Pacific Ocean, this park is one of Lima's most iconic and romantic spots. Inaugurated on February 14, 1993, it has become a meeting point for tourists and art lovers.
Its design is inspired by Barcelona's famous Park Güell, with colorful mosaics adorning the park's curved walls, where you can read love quotes from Peruvian poets. The center of the park is dominated by the sculpture "El Beso," by renowned Peruvian artist Víctor Delfín, depicting a couple locked in a passionate embrace.
In addition to its artistic value, the Parque del Amor offers a perfect setting for relaxing, taking photographs, or simply enjoying a sunset walk with the sound of the ocean in the background. It is an ideal spot for those looking for a romantic retreat with one of the best panoramic views of the Costa Verde.

Huaca Pucllana
Huaca Pucllana is one of the city's most impressive archaeological sites. This ancient ceremonial and administrative complex was built by the Lima culture around 200 AD, long before the rise of civilizations like the Incas.
The huaca stands out for its construction technique, made of adobe bricks arranged vertically like books on a shelf, which has allowed its preservation over the centuries. Approximately 25 meters high, this pre-Columbian temple was a center of power for local leaders and possibly a sacred place for offerings and rituals dedicated to the sea and nature gods.
Throughout the tour, you can observe the different sections of the complex, such as the ceremonial platforms, administrative precincts, and food storage spaces. There are also remains of murals, pottery, and burials that reveal details about the customs and beliefs of the area's ancient inhabitants.
