Chinchero
This Alpacas and Llamas Hiking experience in Cusco, Chinchero , is an authentic cultural connection in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Walking through the Andean mountains surrounding a local community of Chinchero, we will learn about medicinal plants and see beautiful lagoons and archaeological sites. We will cross native villages with llamas and alpacas as was done in ancient times, learning the benefits of using South American camelids instead of horses as pack animals.
After walking through the mountains, we will enjoy a traditional and delicious picnic with typical products of the area that we will enjoy in the middle of the Andes with a privileged view of the archaeological site of Chinchero.
Finally, we will visit the archaeological site of Chinchero and the main square with colonial and Inca construction elements. Our walk concludes with a tour of the village and a textile demonstration.
