Fortezza di Montalcino
The fortress has a new structure for the time of its construction as it had a pentagonal plan as opposed to the square plan adopted by the fortifications of a previous era. The fortress has a tower at each corner.

Palazzo dei Priori
The Palace constitutes one of the most typical elements of the village. Built in the 13th-14th century, it has a high crenellated tower and a portico with lowered vaults where there is a 16th-century statue of Cosimo I dei Medici. On the façade and on the side facing the square it features numerous heraldic coats of arms of the podestà families who have governed the city over the centuries. The urban evolution of the village forced the building into the alleys of the center, depriving it of its original public space.
