We love Mechelen and love to share it with the world. Still a hidden gem, it is very accessible from both Antwerp, Brussels and Ghent. It is quieter than the bigger cities, but has more charm in our opinion :)
Our tours are small groups only. For safety, but also because we like to know the people we guide.
As we visit local, independent stores and eateries that were started by young entrepreneurs, you also support them! This is our aim too - to promote Mechelen small businesses.
We hope that you will enjoy touring with us :)

Itinerary
1
Grote Markt
Our walking food tour in Mechelen starts on a very important square. After a short introduction and brief with what you can expect, we start our journey. This tour combines sightseeing and food and gives you a good insight in what Mechelen is all about and where the residents love to hang out.
At all attractions or interesting areas that we visit, we make stops for tasters. These can include cheese, charcuterie, street food, chocolate, plant-based food, ice cream and other goodies. These are examples only and can vary.
There are plenty of opportunities to take photos!
Grote Markt or Main Square is an area that has a lot of history in and around it. Thanks to Margaret of Austria, Mechelen played an important role. Are you ready to get started?
2
Bruul
From the Grote Markt, we go to Mechelen's shopping street Bruul to discover the area. Small side streets and back alleys bring you to some hidden gems that only the locals know. We like to surprise you both with stories and with tasters!
3
Ijzerenleen
From Bruul it is easy to get to Ijzerenleen. This used to be the old fish market. Now it is full of eateries - we stop for tasters of course - and magnificent architecture.
4
Vismarkt
The new fish market (or Vismarkt in Dutch) is a trendy place. Cute cafes and eateries and an amazing view over the river Dyle. We will discover this area and also make a stop or a few to have some tasters here as well.
This area is also we will will finish our tour.
