Your adventure begins in the morning with pickup in Marrakech. You will leave the city and head toward the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying the changing scenery as you travel from the Marrakech plains into the mountains, valleys, and traditional Berber villages.

You will stop at Tizi n’Tichka Pass, one of the most famous mountain passes in Morocco, located in the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. Take some time to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, valleys, and traditional Berber villages. You can stretch your legs, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and take memorable photographs of the dramatic landscape. The scenery changes significantly as you travel from the Marrakech plains into the mountains, making this an excellent introduction to southern Morocco.

You will visit the historic Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most famous landmarks. Explore its narrow streets, traditional earthen buildings, fortified walls, and ancient kasbahs while learning about the history of this former caravan settlement. You will also have time to reach the higher part of the village, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and take memorable photographs. Ait Ben Haddou is also famous for its connection to the film industry and has been used as a filming location for numerous international productions.

You will stop briefly in Ouarzazate, often known as the “Gateway to the Sahara.” Located south of the High Atlas Mountains, the city is surrounded by dramatic desert landscapes, traditional kasbahs, and historic villages. During your short stop, you can stretch your legs, take photographs, and enjoy the atmosphere of this important southern Moroccan city. Ouarzazate is also internationally known for its film industry, with its spectacular landscapes and traditional architecture having been used as filming locations for numerous movies and television productions.

You will pass through the beautiful Skoura Oasis as you continue towards the Dades Valley. Although there is no scheduled stop, you will enjoy views of extensive palm groves, traditional mud-brick kasbahs, agricultural fields, and peaceful rural landscapes from the vehicle. Skoura is one of southern Morocco’s most beautiful oasis regions, where green vegetation creates a striking contrast with the surrounding dry landscapes. You will continue through the oasis while observing traditional villages and palm trees before heading towards the Valley of Roses.

You will stop at the famous Monkey Fingers rock formations in the Dades Valley. These unusual geological formations resemble the fingers of a giant hand and are surrounded by dramatic red and ochre-colored mountains. Take some time to admire the scenery and capture memorable photographs of the distinctive landscape. The area offers beautiful views of the valley, traditional villages, and surrounding rock formations. Although the stop is short, it provides an excellent opportunity to appreciate the unique geological character of the Dades region.

You will explore the spectacular Dades Gorge, surrounded by dramatic red cliffs, winding roads, traditional villages, and beautiful mountain landscapes. This area is one of the highlights of southern Morocco and offers excellent opportunities for photography and exploring the natural scenery. You can admire the impressive rock formations, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, and discover how traditional communities have adapted to life in the valley. After enjoying the scenery, you will continue your journey through the Dades region towards Tinghir and Todra Gorge.
