Cappadocia Rug Collection
You will learn the traditional techniques used in Turkish carpet weaving, a craft that has been passed down through generations in Anatolia.
Our local weaving artists will guide you step by step, starting with the preparation of the carpet foundation and introducing you to the famous Turkish Double Knot.
Once the foundation is prepared, you will discover the art of flat-weaving and learn about its history in Cappadocia and Central Anatolia. We will share stories about the region’s textile traditions, natural materials, and cultural heritage.
After that you will choose a traditional motif from our curated pattern catalogue and begin weaving your own piece under the guidance of our experienced artisans. We will assist you to make sure that your weaving is both authentic and durable.
This is a rare opportunity to connect with an ancient craft, understand the history of Anatolian textiles, and create a handmade souvenir with your own hands.
Looms, yarns, guidance, tea, coffee, are included
