One of the most famous archaeological sites in the world, this ancient royal burial ground was used for nearly 500 years during Egypt’s New Kingdom. Hidden deep inside the desert mountains, the valley contains richly decorated tombs of powerful pharaohs, including Tutankhamun. From above, you can see the dramatic desert landscape that once protected these sacred tombs.

A masterpiece of ancient architecture, this unique terraced temple was built for Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most successful female rulers. Set dramatically against towering limestone cliffs, the temple’s symmetrical design is even more impressive when viewed from the sky at sunrise.

These two massive stone statues have stood guarding the West Bank for over 3,400 years. Rising about 18 meters high, they once marked the entrance to a grand mortuary temple. From the balloon, you’ll clearly see their monumental scale within the surrounding green fields.
