Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces
Located along the Jinjiang River, Huangluo is home to the Red Yao ethnic group. This village is world-famous for its women who grow their hair up to 2 meters long, a tradition that earned the village a Guinness World Record. You will explore the riverside community, see their iconic hand-woven red clothing, and learn about the ancient natural secrets they use to keep their hair dark and healthy for decades. It’s a rare look into a living culture that has remained unchanged for generations. (An optional cultural performance is available at your own expense).

Ping'an Village
Ascend to the historic Ping'an Village, where 600-year-old wooden stilt houses perched on the hillsides overlook the world’s most famous rice terraces. You will walk along ancient stone paths through the village to reach the highest viewpoints, such as the famous "Seven Stars with the Moon." From here, you’ll get a breathtaking bird's-eye view of the vast, layered paddies that curve like a dragon's scales across the mountain ridges. It’s a perfect spot for photography and understanding how local farmers have hand-carved this landscape over centuries.
