Mukuni Village
Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by a knowledgeable local guide who leads them through the village while sharing fascinating stories about the community’s origins, leadership, and way of life. Visitors will explore traditional huts made of natural materials such as mud and thatch, gaining an understanding of how these structures are built, maintained, and symbolically arranged within family compounds.
The tour also includes a visit to Chief Mukuni’s Royal Palace (subject to availability), where guests can learn about the role of traditional leadership and how it continues to shape community life in contemporary Zambia. Depending on the day and schedule, visitors may also have the chance to meet village elders, craftsmen, or women engaged in daily tasks such as basket weaving, pottery, or wood carving.
