We arrive at the Château Rouge metro station, serving as the introduction to the neighborhood of La Goutte d’Or. We’ll begin with a walk through the market corridor, using the area as a starting point to discuss the neighborhood’s history, daily life, and cultural significance. Guests will experience the rhythm of the area firsthand while learning how this part of Paris has been shaped over time.

A neighborhood grocery store specializing in Haitian food products. We’ll pause here to talk about how different Black diasporic cultures are represented throughout La Goutte d’Or, and guests may choose to step inside to browse, but entering the store is optional.

A local shop specializing in African fabrics and clothing. We’ll stop here to talk about the role of textiles in everyday life, migration, and cultural expression across different African countries.
