A Lion’s Head sunrise hike is one of the most magical ways to experience Cape Town. In the quiet early hours we set off along the winding trail as the city slowly wakes below us.
If needed, we use headlamps to light the way as we hike through the cool morning air. As the first light appears, the sky shifts from deep blue to soft pink and gold while the Atlantic Ocean, Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles slowly emerge from the darkness.
