1
Schloss Linderhof
he day begins with a comfortable drive from Munich into the Bavarian Alps.
Linderhof Palace is the smallest and most intimate residence of King Ludwig II, known for its richly decorated interiors and refined garden setting. This is the cultural centerpiece of the journey, where architecture and atmosphere take priority.

2
Plansee
After the palace, the route opens into a softer alpine landscape.
Plansee is one of the clearest mountain lakes in the region, surrounded by forest and peaks. This stop is not about sightseeing, but about a visual pause, a moment to step out, take photos or simply enjoy the stillness of the water.
10 minutes
3
Highline179
The journey continues toward a more open and dramatic setting.
highline179 is a suspension bridge connecting the historic Ehrenberg ruins, offering wide panoramic views over the valley. It forms the final highlight of the day, with a sense of space and perspective.

4
Ettal
On the return route, we pass through Ettal and Oberammergau, two traditional alpine villages. Ettal is known for its Benedictine monastery, while Oberammergau is recognized for its woodcarving tradition and painted houses. Depending on timing and your preference, a short stop can be arranged.
The day concludes with a relaxed drive back to Munich.
