Starting at the Place du Général de Gaulle — the Grand Place — you'll open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and plunge into Vieux Lille. The tour is fully self-guided — no guide, no fixed start time, just your group and the city.
The Place aux Oignons charms first: a pocket square of brick and cobbles whose name has less to do with onions than riddles will reveal.
At the Îlot Comtesse, trivia explores the block around the old Hospice Comtesse, founded by a countess with a guilty conscience and a generous purse.
Then back to the Colonne de la Déesse, the goddess commemorating Lille's defiant stand against an Austrian siege...
