Tian Tan Buddha (Big Buddha) is a 334-meter-tall bronze seated Buddha statue located on Lantau Island. Completed in 1993, it is one of the world’s largest outdoor seated Buddha statues. Visitors can climb 268 steps to reach the platform and enjoy sweeping mountain views.

Po Lin Monastery is a major Buddhist monastery on Lantau Island, known as the “Buddhist Kingdom in the South.” It houses the Mahavira Hall, beautiful temple architecture, and serves as an important religious and cultural site for worship and vegetarian cuisine.

Wisdom Path is a scenic outdoor installation on Lantau Island featuring a series of large wooden pillars arranged in a figure-eight pattern, inscribed with verses from the Heart Sutra. Located near Tian Tan Buddha and Po Lin Monastery, it represents wisdom and Buddhist philosophy, set against a peaceful mountain backdrop.

Shek Pik Reservoir is a freshwater reservoir located on the southwestern side of Lantau Island, Hong Kong. Completed in the 1960s, it is an important water supply reservoir surrounded by green hills and scenic hiking trails, offering a peaceful natural landscape away from the city.

Tai O is a traditional fishing village on the western side of Lantau Island, known for its stilt houses built over tidal waterways. Often called the “Venice of Hong Kong,” it offers a glimpse of old Hong Kong life, with seafood markets, shrimp paste production, boat rides, and dolphin-spotting tours in nearby waters.
