Mount Usu is a volcano which has erupted four times in the past 100 years. Its most recent eruption occurred in the year 2000. The Usuzan Ropeway brings you close to the volcano's summit. Breathtaking scenery from observation platform, which include Mt. Yotei, Lake Toya, Oshima peninsula, and Pacific ocean.

Lake Toya
Lake Toya is a caldera lake that was created by a major volcanic eruption that took place tens of thousands of years ago.
It has a perimeter of about 36.5km, and in the center lie four islands: Oshima, Kannon-shima, Benten-jima, and Manjuu-jima.
