Itinerary
1
Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine
The spectacular tunnel of thousands vermilion torii gates is so famous and picturesque. These torii gates were offered by worshippers in appreciation of the good fortune they received from the deity enshrined here. Why don’t you, too, offer a prayer and change your luck?

2
Bamboo Forest Street
The renowned bamboo forest with its subtle hues of green and the sun slanting through has an exceptional beauty. The rustling of the leaves and the creaking of the trunks softly swaying in the breeze have a very relaxing effect. It’s an experience that you shouldn't miss while being in Kyoto.
1 hour and 10 minutes
3
Kinkakuji Temple
This famous Zen temple is an icon of Samurai culture. Although it is a very popular tourist destination, the unique sight of the Golden Pavilion is well worth a visit. You can get wonderful pictures of the gilded building and its beautiful appearance reflected in the pond.

Kitano Tenmangu Shrine
This shrine built in 945 by the emperor of the time enshrines Sugawara no Michizane who is god of academics, and many students come here to pray for successful examinations. It is also called Tenjin (god of the universe) as it stands right under the polar star when looked at from Kyoto palace. The main building is designated as a national treasure.

Kamishichiken Kaburenjo Theatre
There are five hanamachi (geisha) districts in Kyoto and one of them is Kamishichiken which is located right next to Kitano Tenmangu Shrine. This district has fewer geisha houses and geiko and maiko, but the atmosphere around here is quieter and more relaxing.

Nishiki Market Shopping District
The Nishiki market, which has been popular with the people of Kyoto for 400 years, has 126 shops lined up in a 390-meter long street. Kyoto’s peculiar vegetables and pickles are sold and you can taste some. Let’s enjoy the walk while imagining the eating habits of the people of Kyoto
