Japan's oldest kabuki theater is still standing — nearly 200 years and counting. Pretty impressive for a wooden building, right? We'll check it out from outside and get the backstory.

This pretty covered bridge is roped off almost all year. Why? It's only used once, for a festival that's been going on for centuries. We'll tell you all about it.

Ichinohashi Park
A peaceful little park by the river — the same one Edo-era pilgrims used to wash up in before heading up the steps to the shrine. Nice spot to slow down for a minute.
