Koblenz has spent two thousand years organising itself around one stubborn fact: this is where the Rhine and the Moselle meet. This self-guided walking tour follows that story on foot, from the Electoral Palace, the last great residence of Trier's prince-electors, through the old town to the Deutsches Eck, where the two rivers finally collide.
Everything runs from your own smartphone, and there is no app to download. You get a map of all 8 stops, simple directions between them, a short audio story at each location and an interactive quiz that turns the walk into a game.

Discover the riverside Neoclassical palace built for Clemens Wenceslaus, the last Prince-Elector of Trier, before continuing on foot to the next stop using the in-app directions.

A 158-metre Wilhelmine complex of volcanic tuff on the Rhine waterfront, built 1902-1906 by Paul Kieschke for the Prussian regional government and later used by American occupation forces.

The bronze spitting-boy fountain in the Town Hall courtyard, unveiled in 1941 and dedicated to dialect poet Josef Cornelius. Its basin reliefs show scenes of childhood mischief.
