Howard Carter Haus
Das Howard Carter House im ägyptischen Luxor ist die ehemalige Residenz des britischen Archäologen Howard Carter, der das Grab von Tutanchamun entdeckte. Ursprünglich als Rasthaus für Inspektoren genutzt, wurde das Haus 2009 in ein Museum umgewandelt. Das Haus wurde kürzlich renoviert und restauriert, um strukturelle Schäden zu reparieren, unangemessene Reparaturen und Änderungen zu entfernen und neue Besucherinformationen zu entwickeln. Die Außenseite des Gebäudes erhielt wieder ihre ursprüngliche braune Farbe und neue Sitzgelegenheiten und Schattenbereiche wurden eingerichtet. Im Inneren wurden neue Lampen und Objektvitrinen installiert und Carters Arbeitszimmer wurde in seinem ursprünglichen Erscheinungsbild wiederhergestellt. Das Haus enthält Karten, alte Bücher, Schriften von Carter, antike Möbel und eine Nachbildung von Tutanchamuns Grab. Es ist eine beliebte Touristenattraktion in Luxor.
