Namobuddha
Located about 40 km away from Kathmandu in Kavre district Namobuddha is a sacred Buddhist is an important Buddhist shrine. Situated at a hill Namobuddha is a quiet pure place suitable for meditation and other practices. Sacred Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery is the main highlights of Namobuddha. It is believed to build on the remainings of the youngest son of king Maharatha who offered himself to a hungry Tigress who have given birth to five cubs. The meaning of Namo Buddhaya is I “take refuge in the Buddha”. As time passed people began to call this place Namobuddha.

Buddha Stupa
One of the worlds largest Buddhist stupa Boudhanath is one of the most popular and religious Buddhist sites around Kathmandu. Colourful prayer flag around the stupa is beautiful and the smell of incense and soft music of Buddhist prayers, devotees chanting prayers, burning butter lamp gives you peace of mind. The stupa itself is a symbol of Buddha. Some people also believe that the monument consists of the bones of the Buddha. According to some legends Emperor Ashoka built the first temple during 3rd century B.C.

Asura Cave, Pharping
A cave sacred to Guru Rinpoche, located above the village of Pharping, near Kathmandu, Nepal. It is also known as the 'Upper cave of Yangleshö'. On the upper left side of the entrance door is the imprint of a hand in the rock.

Pharping
During your Pharping visit, you will be visiting a lot of Buddhist Shrines and Monasteries. Pharping is one of the sacred places for the Buddhist. It lies on the southern edge of Kathmandu valley and about 20 km away from the capital. Asura Cave, Guru Rinpoche Cave and Yanglesho cave are the sacred caves that you will visit during your visit to Pharping. You will also visit some of the popular and sacred Buddhist monasteries such as Neydo Tashi Choling monastery and Shakhya Tharig Monastery along with other monasteries.
