About
Some days in Lebanon stay with you long after you leave. This is one of them. On this small-group tour from Beirut — maximum 15 people — you will experience three of the country's most iconic and emotionally resonant destinations in a single day, each one completely different, each one unforgettable in its own way. You will go underground at Jeita Grotto — gliding silently by boat through a cathedral of ancient rock formations that took millions of years to create. Itinerary
1
Beirut
8:30 AM — Departure from Beirut
Your knowledgeable English-speaking driver meets you at your hotel lobby and heads north along the coast — the Mediterranean glittering to your left, the Lebanese mountains rising to your right — toward the first wonder of the day.
2
Jeita Grotto
Nothing prepares you for Jeita. You walk into the mountain and the world changes — a vast limestone cathedral stretches overhead, its stalactites and stalagmites built over millions of years into shapes that seem almost deliberately beautiful. The upper cave is explored on foot along an elevated walkway, the scale growing more extraordinary with every step. Then the lower cave — where you board a silent electric boat and glide along an underground river through chambers of unearthly stillness, the only sound the drip of water in the dark. A finalist in the New 7 Wonders of Nature and a UNESCO tentative World Heritage Site — Jeita earns every superlative written about it.
⏰ Visit duration: approx. 1.5 hours
1 hour and 30 minutes
3
Téléferique Harissa
From underground to above the clouds — board the Harissa Téléférique at the Jounieh seafront and rise 650 metres above sea level in a cable car that reveals one of the most spectacular aerial views in Lebanon. Jounieh Bay unfolds beneath you, the Mediterranean stretches to the horizon, and the Lebanese mountain ranges frame the scene on every side. The ascent alone is worth it — and what waits at the top makes it more so.
⏰ Duration: approx. 20 minutes

The Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon
⛪ Stop 2: Harissa – Our Lady of Lebanon Shrine:
At 650 metres above the sea, the bronze statue of Our Lady of Lebanon stands with arms outstretched toward the Mediterranean — 8.5 metres tall, visible for miles in every direction, and surrounded by the Maronite Basilica and churches that make Harissa one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in the Middle East. Whether you come for the faith, the views, or simply the extraordinary feeling of standing above the clouds on a Lebanese mountainside — this stop delivers something that is genuinely difficult to put into words.

Byblos
Arrive in Byblos — one of the oldest cities continuously inhabited on earth — and walk into a site where every stone tells a different story from a different millennium. The Crusader castle was built in the 12th century from recycled Phoenician and Roman blocks. Beneath it, Neolithic foundations date to 5000 BC. Phoenician royal tombs, Bronze Age temples, Roman colonnaded streets — all visible, all real, all within a single afternoon's walk. Byblos gave the world its alphabet. Its name gave us the word Bible. Your driver brings the sweep of this 7,000-year story to life with the kind of local depth no guidebook can replicate.
45 minutes
6
Old Souk
Leave the castle and lose yourself in the old souk — stone-paved lanes where jewellers craft Phoenician-inspired pieces, antique dealers display finds from across the Levant, and the smell of fresh coffee drifts from doorways that have been open for generations. Follow the lane down to the ancient fishing port — still in daily use, still colourful with wooden boats, still framed by medieval walls — and find a table at the water's edge for lunch.
30 minutes
7
Byblos
Lunch in Byblos — optional
Fresh mezze, grilled fish, and cold Lebanese wine at a waterfront table overlooking the oldest harbour in the world. If you only have one lunch in Lebanon — make it this one.
Visit the the old harbor & stroll through the traditional souks, filled with handicrafts and cafés
Enjoy a leisurely lunch by the sea or in the old town (optional)

Beirut
Return to Beirut — approx. 4:00–5:00 PM
Your driver takes you back along the coast to Beirut with drop-off at your hotel — the end of a day that moved from the depths of the earth to the top of a mountain to the shores of one of the world's oldest cities.
