Arrive in Byblos — one of the oldest cities continuously inhabited on earth — and walk into a site where every stone tells a different story from a different millennium. The Crusader castle was built in the 12th century from recycled Phoenician and Roman blocks. Beneath it, Neolithic foundations date to 5000 BC. Phoenician royal tombs, Bronze Age temples, Roman colonnaded streets — all visible, all real, all within a single afternoon's walk. Byblos gave the world its alphabet.
