The Arch of Constantine is one of ancient Rome’s most important monuments. Built in 315 AD, it commemorates Emperor Constantine’s victory at the Battle of the Milvian Bridge, a key moment that led to the rise of Christianity. The arch also symbolizes the transition from pagan to Christian Rome, as Constantine later legalized Christianity with the Edict of Milan in 313 AD.

The Flavian Amphitheater, or Colosseum, was built in 70 A.D. by Emperor Vespasian and is the largest amphitheater ever constructed. Once the stage for gladiator games and public spectacles, it remains one of ancient Rome’s most iconic and thrilling sites — famously depicted in the film Gladiator.

For nearly a thousand years, it served as the center of political, religious, and commercial life in ancient Rome. Among its ruins lie the remains of some of the city's most significant monuments, such as the Temple of Vespasian and Titus, the Arch of Septimius Severus, and numerous basilicas constructed by various emperors throughout the empire’s long history.
