1
Luong Dinh Pavilion
Nghinh Luong Pavilion, built in 1818, once served as a resting place for emperors, a venue to welcome envoys, and a ceremonial site before boarding the royal barge—symbolizing the harmony between the Imperial Court and the river, between authority and elegance. Just behind it stands Phu Van Lau, where royal decrees were posted and examination results announced. This pavilion represents knowledge, legitimacy, and transparency in the governance of the imperial court.
2
Perfume River
The Perfume River remains a symbol of Hue’s charm and heritage. Cruising along its tranquil waters offers travelers a unique perspective of the city’s historic citadel, ancient pagodas, and the timeless rhythm of local life along the riverbanks.
3
Truong Tien Bridge
Spanning the Perfume River with its graceful steel arches, Truong Tien Bridge is one of Huế’s most iconic landmarks. Designed by Gustave Eiffel’s company in the late 19th century, the bridge connects the historic Imperial City with the vibrant streets of modern Huế. By day, it bustles with scooters and locals crossing the river; by night, it glows with colorful lights reflected on the water, creating a romantic riverside scene
4
Dong Ba Market
The city’s largest and oldest market, Dong Ba is a lively hub where travelers can discover Huế’s vibrant daily life. Stalls overflow with fresh produce, local snacks, handicrafts, and traditional conical hats. A perfect place to shop, taste, and immerse in authentic local culture.
5
Nestled in the Perfume River, Con Hen is a tranquil islet famed for its rustic charm and signature dish cơm hến (clam rice). Travelers can explore peaceful village life, lush greenery, and enjoy authentic local flavors unique to Huế.
