Seongeup Folk Village
Seongeup Village is a place where the old charm of Jeju's villages remains intact. Unlike other folk villages, actual residents live within the village. This village has a rich history, serving as the site of the Jeonguihyeon administrative office since it was relocated from Goseong-ri, Seongsan-eup in the 16th year of King Taejong of the Joseon Dynasty to this location in the 5th year of King Sejong, maintaining its status as an administrative center for over 500 years. Inside Jeonguihyeon, there are approximately 110 households, and there are also many houses outside the fortress. As it served as the provincial capital for hundreds of years, it boasts various cultural heritages.
