Join us on a family-friendly hike up Haugheia, a local favorite in the center of Lofoten. Starting at Leknes harbor, we take a gentle 2km walk through the neighborhood to the foot of the hill. After a short steep section on a gravel road, the trail follows the ridge for the remaining 2km to the summit at 151 meters.
What makes this hike special is the view at every step — jagged mountains, colorful houses, and crystal-clear seas. Aside from the initial climb, the path is mostly flat heathland, well-established and accessible even on wet days. On clear days, you might see the snowy mountain peaks on the Norwegian mainland, and in summer, wildflowers grow remarkably large under the midnight ...
