Musee Soieries Brochier
In the heart of Lyon, in the former Grand Inn-Dieu, the Musée des Soieries Brochier traces 130 years of Lyon silk history. This silk museum reveals the adventure of a large family that entered the textile industry in 1890: four generations weaved and printed silks for haute couture and the arts. Admire pieces by Givenchy, Lacroix, Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent or Nicolas Fafiotte, made with Brochier fabrics, as well as textile works by Miró, Calder or Cocteau. The route also highlights innovations in the Jacquard business, from aeronautics to luminous textiles incorporating optical fiber. An ideal place to discover the Lyon heritage. The shop offers squares and accessories 100% silk, made in Lyon in Brochier workshops.
