This sumptuous residence was built at the end of the 19th century on the order of
Ba Ahmed. The property, surrounded by a huge 8-hectare garden, houses a messy estate
luxury secret apartments opening onto patios. A thousand artisans, mostly from
from the region of Fez, participated for more than seven years in the work. They undertook to endow the
palace of decorative elements and materials previously used by architects.
Also we see reappear the woods, plasters and stuccos carved inside and outside the palace

Koutoubia Mosque
It is one of the largest mosques in the Muslim West. She marks
the Almohad stage of Hispano-Moorish art which allowed to combine an apparent simplicity with a
skill and discreet luxury. This "mosque of booksellers" owes its name to the souk of manuscripts including
the shops were, in the Middle Ages, attached to the walls of the building. Its famous 77M minaret, pure
jewel of Hispano-Moorish architecture, casts its protective shadow over the whole city
for more than 8 centuries.

Jemaa el-Fnaa
This vast esplanade, where the merchants of
fruit and spices, Guerrabs equipped with their leather skins and timpani, barbers, etc.,
turns into an entertainment venue in the afternoon when Gnaouas troops (dancers
descendants of the ancient Guineans), musicians, storytellers, snake charmers and
other erectors of learned monkeys delimit their halqa.

Jardin Majorelle
This enchanting place, populated by bougainvillea, coconut, banana, bamboo and palm trees,
was created in the 1920s by the French painter Jacques Majorelle. At the heart of the lush
vegetation, he built a large workshop, pergolas and arbors fully covered
a bright blue deconcentrator. Abandoned after the painter's death in 1962, the property was
reconditioned a few years ago by fashion designer Yves Saint-Laurent and used as his residence
secondary these days.
